Well where to begin Itchy & Scratchy formed in 1995 after leaving a trio
called Springwater.
Our first season was at Blackpool's tower lounge which
was great with us both living in Blackpool (and both born there to original Sandgrowns )
we did two seasons in the lounge.
We then went on to do a season on South Pier and
and two more seasons on central pier after that we Invented Bandeoke in January 2000
which we took all over the Branagans Circuit and Chicago's, which included a two year stint
at the first Branagans ever on a Wednesday night in Blackpool, which was good while it lasted.
In 2005 Rick our guitarist and song loader got kidney cancer which was a bit of a set back for us
both. I battled on though doing a couple of solo gigs and released a solo album which reached No. 8
in the album chart in Poland.
In 2005 we started a residency at Blackpool's famous Uncle Toms Cabin
run by Sharon Mills (top boss) which we still do today 2006 saw the start of the north pier episode
doing every Saturday with Joey Blower and Johnny V - that was mental and never a better
Saturday night.
